A Room That Disappears Around the Movie
A great home theater is not a pile of expensive electronics — it is a system designed as one. The display, the speakers, the acoustics, the seating, and the lighting all have to agree with each other and with the room they live in. Get one of them wrong and the whole experience suffers.
We design and install the entire chain: the display and projection, immersive audio, room acoustics, comfortable sightlines, and the control system that makes it all work with a single tap. When it is done right, the technology disappears and you are left with the film.
And we reach gear the big-box stores simply can't — brands that never touch a Best Buy shelf, and pieces most shoppers never knew existed. A motorized mount that turns your TV into a framed piece of art and flips it around at the touch of a button. Screens and speakers built to vanish into the architecture. The custom layer is exactly what you can't buy off a shelf.

Our Team's Work
One Build, Start to Finish
A real Utah basement theater our team carried from bare studs to premiere night — the same hands, every phase.
Included in a Full Build
Every Layer, Engineered Together
- 4K / 8K display or laser projection — spec'd to your room size and light, from a large direct-view TV to a 120-inch-plus projected image on an ALR or acoustically transparent screen.
- Immersive Dolby Atmos / DTS:X audio — properly placed surround and height channels with subwoofers sized to the room, then calibrated by ear and by measurement.
- Acoustic treatment & room correction — absorption and diffusion where they matter so dialogue stays clear and bass stays tight.
- Motorized seating, risers & sightlines — tiered layouts so every seat sees the screen, with theater seating that fits the room.
- Lighting & blackout scenes — dimmable lighting and shades that set themselves when the movie starts.
- One-touch control — a single remote or app that runs the whole room, so guests never see a stack of remotes.
What to Expect
From First Walkthrough to Movie Night

- Design & proposal — a fixed, itemized plan covering equipment, layout, and acoustics so there are no surprises.
- Pre-wire & installation — clean wiring pathways, hidden where possible; on new builds we handle this before drywall.
- Calibration — picture and sound tuned to the room, not left at factory defaults.
- Support — the same team that designed and installed your system stands behind it.
Common Questions
Home Theater FAQs
How much does a custom home theater cost in Utah?
Every theater is designed from scratch, so cost depends on the room, the gear, and how much construction is involved — a media room built around a large 4K TV is very different from a dedicated cinema with laser projection, tiered seating, and acoustic treatment. Rather than quote a vague range, we walk your space, learn how you want to use it, and give you a fixed, itemized proposal after a free consultation.
Projector or a big TV — which is better for a home theater?
It depends on the room. A dedicated, light-controlled room is where a 4K or 8K laser projector shines, delivering a 100-inch-plus cinematic image. In a bright, multi-use room, a large direct-view TV (or a short-throw laser projector with an ALR screen) often looks better because it holds contrast with the lights on. We spec the display to your room and lighting, not the other way around.
What makes surround sound "immersive" — is Dolby Atmos worth it?
Traditional surround places speakers around you; Dolby Atmos and DTS:X add height channels overhead so sound moves in three dimensions — rain, aircraft, and score land above and around you. For a purpose-built theater it is absolutely worth it. The bigger factor is proper speaker placement, room acoustics, and calibration, which is where most DIY setups fall short.
Can you build a theater into an existing room, or only new construction?
Both. We regularly retrofit basements, bonus rooms, and finished spaces, and we also join new builds and remodels early — during framing — so wiring, speaker locations, and acoustics are planned before drywall goes up. Getting us in during the design phase always produces a cleaner, better-performing result, but a finished room is no obstacle.
Do you work with interior designers and builders on theater projects?
Yes. A large share of our work is alongside designers, architects, and custom-home builders. We plan wiring pathways, flush-mount and hidden-speaker solutions, and equipment locations so the technology disappears into the design instead of fighting it. See our Trade Partners program for how that collaboration works.
